We are proud to represent and import the following wines...

Las Lomas
by Cooperativa Agricola Vitivinicola de Cauquenes (COVICA)

The vineyards and winery of COVICA are in the south of Chile --- about a 5-hour drive down the Pan-American Highway from Santiago, the capital --- in the Maule Valley. Here the soil is heavily volcanic ash, receiving ample rainfall. During the growing season the daytime temperatures can reach 37 degrees Celsius (95 degrees F.), but at night are dramatically cooled by the ocean breezes. The average age of the vines is 70 years, with some 150-year-old vines still vigorously producing.

All COVICA wines are certified by the Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO), headquartered in Bonn, Germany, ensuring that the growers and workers who produce them were paid a fair and above-market compensation. COVICA is thus one of only four wineries in the world to enjoy this distinction.
